After reporting on presidential elections since '96, I decided this was the election to take a stand. Here in MI, have knocked on 400 doors for Kamala Harris. Can confirm: women want this conversation. They're tired of Trump anger. Many who didn't plan to vote are turning to her.

Will add: Kamala Harris volunteers here in Saginaw/Bay City area are motivated, enthusiastic -- coming out in droves. Have come across ONE Trump canvasser on the streets so far. And in conversation, he admitted he wasn't voting for Trump. "No way, I'm just getting paid." Ouch.

Trumpers have been wagging their metaphorical dicks in our faces for eight years. It's time for a reckoning!

(9,148 posts)Trump is the embodiment of every male who has ever harassed us, belittled us, groped us, catcalled us, stalked us, chased us, hit us, raped us. Pretty much all girls/women over the age of 10 or 12 have at least one, and usually many, stories of male aggression and violence and intimidation. He is awakening a very, very deep fear in women and we are reacting by organizing and volunteering and writing postcards and donating and so forth. My friends are mostly women in their mid-50s to early-60s and every single one I've talked to is in a state of almost ongoing panic at the prospect that the motherfucker could be reelected. But I don't think he will be, largely because of this mass reaction against him by women.
