Officials say Lafond then told the canvassers that, when Trump wins, he would "exterminate" people like them. He then returned to his vehicle and accelerated toward the canvassers, who jumped out of the way. Lafond then left the scene.

law reads:

Missouri Laws 565.184 – Abuse of an elderly person, a person with disability, etc.:

1. A person commits the offense of abuse of an elderly person, a person with a disability, or a vulnerable person if he or she:

(1) Purposely engages in conduct involving more than one incident that causes emotional distress to an elderly person, a person with a disability, or a vulnerable person. The course of conduct shall be such as would cause a reasonable elderly person, person with a disability, or vulnerable person to suffer substantial emotional distress; or

  (2) Intentionally fails to provide care, goods or services to an elderly person, a person with a disability, or a vulnerable person. The result of the conduct shall be such as would cause a reasonable elderly person, person with a disability, or vulnerable person to suffer physical or emotional distress; or

This is not all of this law, but it's nice to know that such laws are on the books here in MO, considering (1) I'm elderly and (2) am profoundly hard of hearing, and have COPD pretty badly (no energy to do anything literally). That's just what I need in my life, a young punk who has the 'hitler' complex to attack and beat up on me or my fellow elderly friends. If a couple of 17 year old teens got into a fight with one another, this would be considered misdemeanor assault, and the kids involved would be sent to Juvie. A 17 year old young man assaulting an elderly woman for her political beliefs is a hate crime, making it an adult federal offense likely with a serious prison sentence.
