Harris' senior adviser says she could win all 7 swing states
David Plouffe, a senior adviser to Vice President Kamala Harris, told CNNs Erin Burnett on Monday night that the campaign believes it could win all seven swing states.
Its very important that we have multiple pathways to 270, and you know, just a couple hours ago, reviewing all the early vote data, what we're projecting for Election Day, how we think undecideds are breaking, we have a credible pathway to all seven states tomorrow night to go into Kamala Harris' column," Plouffe said.
"But we believe they're all going to be close, he added.
Asked if he believes Harris could win all seven states, he said, Yes.

And bear in mind, David Plouffe said this AFTER examining all the "insider information" about early returns, internal polls, etc. He actually knows what he's talking about and has seen the data to back it up. It's not just wishful thinking.

(18,616 posts)An instrumental adviser to Barack Obamas two presidential campaigns, Plouffe calmed worried liberals whom he sometimes jokingly called bedwetters throughout the fall of that year with his repeated assurances that Hillary Clinton had a 100 percent chance to win. The day before the election, he predicted a worst-case scenario for Clinton was ending up with 324 electoral votes. She got 232. And he dismissed concerns about tightening races in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan: Maybe Clinton would win by just 3 to 5 points, Plouffe assured, instead of 6 to 8.
There was also a guy who said he'd eat a bug on live TV if Hillary lost, and he did.

30+ years of RW attacks on the Clintons took their toll. Americans were already polarized about her as a candidate. Comey's late presser just added another log to the fire. Further she did not/does not have the same political skills as her husband. And she ran a bad campaign, not just in Pennsylvania but all the upper midwest. She focused on the solid blue areas and depended on media/TV ads for the other areas of the states.
I know in PA, had she gotten the same number of votes as Josh Shapiro, who was running for Atty Genl then, in just 10 counties, she'd have won.

(785 posts)So he didn't have too much inside info. He was an armchair analyst like David Axelrod is now. Plouffe is a part of Harris' campaign so he KNOWS shit he wasn't privvy to in 2016.

(12,046 posts)Plouffe Axelrod Gibbs et al the young guns... I mean democrats had always been the side with the real message but the terrible organization the lesser ground game etc... those guys flipped the script. Now we are the better organized side. It didn't hurt they had the best fucking candidate in 100 years but they changed the way we do it.

I think the Harris team is confident they have the 270 needed to win. Not sure how confident they are they'll win all the swing states, though.
