Sorry, a pet peeve of mine . I don't think you would call President Biden a boy. But, I could be wrong.

Girl and boy are comparable terms, not girl and dude.

Harris is a woman, Joe is a man. Dude is fine because it's roughly on the same level as man, and isn't a diminutive term.

You wouldn't call Obama a boy, correct? Then, don't refer to Harris as a girl.

Back in my mid 30s, I was taking a college course. On the first or second day of class, before anyone had settled into their own preferred seating, I sat at one of the few empty seats left when I entered the room.

A guy about 20 years old ORDERED me, very rudely and authoritatively, to move because he wanted someone else to sit there. There was nothing at the desk indicating that it was being saved for anyone. If he had asked, I might have cooperated. But I had divorced an arrogant, abusive man and bristled at that kind of attitude toward women. I did not budge.

I was 5'1" tall, small frame. He was around 5'11" tall, medium frame. He said, "If you weren't a girl, I'd punch you out." I said, "I haven't been a girl for more than a decade, so take your best shot."

The professor, a woman, had just entered the room and overheard the exchange. She smiled at me and gave me a discrete thumbs up as she passed by my desk.
