No TV. No radio. Listening to our local great music station (WNCW). Working on choosing our thoughts on the best 10 songs of the last 25 years (for our other favorite music station, WXPN in Philly). We just got back from a baby shower in Indiana for our daughter (our first grandchild!). Hence, lots of busy things to do - roasting a pumpkin, and the seeds after that, making pumpkin chocolate chip scones, waiting for our daughter to come over (her car is in the shop - I'll get my truck back). Cleaning my office (which always becomes a mess after gardening season). Start reading another book to my wife (we just finished Cold Mountain yesterday). After dinner tonight we will start a new series (to us) on Netflix - The Diplomat (we just finished Hill House).
I will experience the election and beam out my HOPE by reading DU tonight. Right now the house smells like pumpkin - time to get it out of the oven - then start answering emails from my full inbox.
Catch you later, all!

(19,717 posts)Its worth signing up for appletv long enough to just watch it. As all the accolades and awards rolled in, I thought probably over blown hoopla. I was dead wrong. Great, fun, touching, hilarious show to binge the 5 seasons.

(114,569 posts)We were without internet for 3weeks after Hurricane Helene. Still slow to get back into the swing with all the damage to our house. Repairs will take more than a few months, we expect.
But, still, hopeful in every way, for our town, our state, and our country. The world is counting on us.
