Let me start off by saying where I live at in S.W. Florida is as red as red can get. in 2020 It took hours to get through the line to vote. This morning I think there were two other people voting when I went in to vote. I asked the poll worker who check me in & she said it's been like this all morning.
Now I don't want to try & make any assumptions on what this means, I'm just reporting what I saw & heard.
I will say this, when I was done voting, I left with a smile on my face.
VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

(47,362 posts)Most likely interested republicans already voted.
TwilightZone
(28,836 posts)After years of railing against early voting, I wouldn't have expected them to be able to convince their voters to switch quite this easily or quickly. They had a million vote edge in early voting.

I never expect FL or TX to turn blue, but if they do you'll hear me screaming with joy from the middle of the country.
We haven't been blue since 1999. We need to change that.

(35 posts)We had about 50 people waiting when we opened the polls. Since then it has been steady. This is the first time I have been able to get online. Lots of first time voters, both very young and seasoned citizens. Barbque down the street with good music wafting our way when someone opens the outer door. It is a good day for the United States!
