To me feeling this calm on Election Day is strange to me. Usually I am on pins and needles, have trouble sleeping and anxious. I still have bad memories of 2016 and was so agitated on 2020 that I couldn't even watch the news that night. I only fell asleep in the early morning after finding out that Biden gained a tiny lead in MI and WI.
But today? None of that is going on (so far) with me. I slept like a baby after watching the last Harris rally on TV. And I can't help feeling like we got this. I also helped calm down a few people I know when they were panicking over what's his face.
Not to jinx things but I really hope my sense of peace and confidence bears fruit tonight, tomorrow, soon.
Just doing my part to send out positive waves for today.🙂🤞

(7,968 posts)Harris did what she had to do to get out the vote. She ran a flawless campaign. No loose ends that are haunting me.
Only thing haunting me are the deplorables with whom we share this country. Nothing we can do about them.

(103,324 posts)But it started Sunday night for me. Not sure why. I was a little tense last night for a while but it didn't last.
I voted early last month so I have had that off my mind for that long. I just feel it will be a quiet tsunami.
You don't take away fundamental rights from more than half the population and not expect a response.
