Place the spare flat on the ground, shove it halfway under the vehicle near the jack point, in case the vehicle falls.

Pull the bad tire / wheel off, push it halfway under where you previously placed the spare. Leave it there until you've snugged the lug nuts and are jacking down to finish tightening those nuts.

Can you imagine Trump changing a tire? I got my Osborn yard sign before he was on anyone’s radar. I fully understand that is a brag no one cares about!

…that ain’t no way to change a tire.

Get those feet out from under that car, especially using a stranger’s jack that may unintentionally in not so good condition.

For those who don't know. Dan Osborn is an Independent Senate candidate in Nebraska who has straddled Democratic and Republican talking points. He's running against 2 term incumbent Deb Fischer and has given her all she can handle. I guarantee that going into this cycle, defending her seat was not on their Bingo card. If nothing else, it's forced them to drop a lot of money.

If Osborn wins, expectations need to be managed. I suspect he would caucus with the Dems but it would be something of a Sinema/Manchin situation. But an improvement over Deb Fischer and an interesting road map for deep Red Senate seats.
