All of us in Florida aren't idiots or MAGAs. There are a hell of a lot of very GOOD Democrats who work fucking hard and donate money to get our candidates elected.
Cool it.

I think folks are irritated because that state had so much potential and Dems have won quite a few times there. We hate seeing it destroyed by these maga turds.

(3,672 posts)It is bad enough that we are divided up by these arbitrary geographic boundaries into "states," and that it gives the right wing a built in political advantage. But for Democrats here to buy into that nonsense and group people according to which side of some boundary they live is really inexcusable.
If it were not for the anti-democratic electoral college and Senate configuration, we would not even be talking about states tonight.
There are more Democrats in Texas (5,259,126 ) than there are in Oregon (1,340,383), or in Connecticut (1,080,831), or in Hawaii (366,130), or in Vermont (242,820). That is based on the votes or Biden in 2020.
You can add Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts. Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, ad Washington to that list. There were more Biden voters i Texas in 2020 than there was in any of those "blue" states.

Voter suppression; slavery era anti-democratic systems; dark money; monopolization of the media. Lots of things to blame. Lots of things to fight for.
