So, I'm done.

I just can't believe this has happened. The majority of the people in this country are insane, stupid, ignorant haters. So be it. They have gotten what they wanted. Now they will have to live with it because I give up. I just don't care anymore. Time for me to keep my head down, hope I can survive what is coming.

There are no checks against what Trump wants to do. If he manages even half of it, this country as we hoped to make it is gone. Maybe we can get it back, in a generation. I don't know. I won't be here to see. This was likely my mother's last election. She might be around for the mid terms, but if I see no hope we can win enough seats to have any majority, I don't think I'll bother. If my doctor confirms what I think is happening, I won't have the mental capacity anyway. It's not just long Covid, it's likely dementia of some type, and moving fast.

I apologize for being a cheerleader, trying to help people get through the process. I truly thought we would win. Maybe by only the 270, but a win. Keeping the Senate, at least, just enough in the House to carry on. But I think we were lied to, hoodwinked. Now that I see the margins, we had no hope.

So, no picture of me on my knees, saying I'm sorry. Just have to take my word for it. I'm not watching any news, though maybe I'll stop by and read a few posts here. Or not. I've seen how this sort of madness goes. It's not going to be America anymore. Daily life will go on, but it won't be the same.

Goodbye. Take care of yourselves, take care of the people you love.

reagan was the beginning of the slow, painful, downward rightwing spiral we have been suffering on since 1984.

There has been no "better" outcome since then, we were never on a strong, positive path. We won some short-lived battles but this war has been systematically devastating everything good about humanity since we started allowing the rightwing to pretend to be a legitimate political party instead of calling them out for being the criminal gang they have always been.

Think. Again.

Out of time. The biosphere won't hold up for more than a few more, as in about 3, years before entropy occurs and wipes out most of the species that keep the biosphere in such a state that it supports our life forms. Once that gets far enough along, and we're a ways down that road, there is no coming back. It's a race to see whether it's Mother Nature or our own selves that takes our species, and most others, out.

Nothing will matter other than trying to breathe at that point and it's coming soon.

We, as a species, chose long ago to elevate the physical rather than the mental capacity of our being. Found out that sex felt really good and we went with it for we're worth, literally. We will not be traveling to any other place or planet or what have you in our physical form. Had we, as a species, chosen to develop and utilize that other 90% of our unused brains, we would be in a very different situation today... not facing global extinction by our own hand.

It won't be by voting or organizing or knocking on doors in the vain and futile delusion that it matters or makes a difference...
This ends when power is wrested back and that only happens in violence and war.
Elections are over.
Representatives that can actually debate and compromise to make policy? If you believe that, just what fucking rock have you been under lately?

No, our last chance was squandered in 2021. Biden should have immediately moved to do two things - 1) prosecute and convict and sentence Trump for J6 and 2) reset the SCOTUS by naming 6 new justices immediately. Those bold actions could have at least hit the pause button on the slide into fascism and lunacy that now holds sway.

Our so called rights are going away very soon.
Posting things like this in the near future (without identity hiding software and rotating internet access, as long as THAT lasts) will be akin to a 'guilty' plea in the kangaroo courts that are coming.

It is over in the form that was known...what may come next, after the purges, after the deportations, after the camps and 'solutions' (final or otherwise) is a violent bloody war or increasingly compromised go-along-get-along 'leaders' fighting for privileges like not being killed or jailed. In any event, mark the date and remember the past - it all ended on November 5th, 2024, and it was given away voluntarily by many who simply believe the lies and handed it over without so much as a second thought.

Our "best and brightest" have been squandered for all this era. Some have given into capitalism, amassing obscene fortunes heedless of systemic injustice while others have served our government's arcanum, trading justice for expedience and ambition, neither endeavor with appropriate reflection on the inherent value of their choice.

Human society has probably reached an evolutionary impasse. It is upon us to acknowledge that just as the unfortunate facts of planetary inhabitability loom. Good times, eh?

Back in 2008 and 2012, we were proud of America and of Barack Obama. Today, only 12 years later, the USA is history, thanks to a satanic cult led by a nearly 80-year-old, lifelong con man. And we are ashamed that this country has been conquered from within by a bunch of cowardly scum. How can all of this have happened in only 12 years?

They were not told the same facts about Donald Trump that you were told. Even if they had been told, it probably would not have mattered. He was right. He could shoot someone in the middle of 5th Avenue and not lose a vote.

But they were mostly victims of FOX News and right-wing media that did everything in their power to whitewash and cover-up everything that Trump said or did.

Let a little time pass, then remember that we are not powerless.
