(17,802 posts)To withdraw every medication that could possibly be used to provide abortion or birth control.
They will deny federal funding to states that dont enact a ban, and scotus will uphold it.
In short, there is an extreme amount of pressure they can bring. They never could in the past because of roe and biden, but those will both be gone.

(15,377 posts)They of course will abolish the filibuster if they also control the house, which they very likely will. They intend to restrict access to abortion using the comstock act to forbid interstate shipments of mifepristone.
An overt nationwide ban is very likely.

(3,220 posts)...anti-abortion voters, particularly the most extreme Protestant evangelicals and radtrad Catholics. The idiots on EWTN (radtrad Catholic TV) were a broken record on this issue, especially when Trump started bragging about how he "makes the best deals", e.g. the patchwork state-by-state abortion ban (devolution to the states) that is the status quo. They're really unhappy about the status quo. It's not a stable arrangement. At some point, there will be a play for a total Federal ban on abortion.
