I can see a defensive weapon like a shotgun. I would never own an assault rifle and more ammunition than I would need for that. I have a manual bolt action deer rifle and one box of of 20 rounds. I shoot 3 rounds every year to site it in and some years one or two for a deer. I’m way too old to play army.
We have the National Guard for that.

You only need a few guns, long and short range. But ammo is the key. No matter how many guns you have, you only have two hands. Ammo is the key.

Some of them have undoubtedly fantasized, ala Rittenhouse, about shooting people and live for the opportunity to do just that. IMO a newbie with a gun is more of a threat to himself and those around him than he is to the trained adversaries he seeks.

but, if so inclined, any novice has a little over two months (hopefully) to familiarize themselves with a firearm. While some may be opposed to the prospect of owning or using a firearm to defend themselves, I am not one of those! My recommendation to anyone that prefers to resit being enslaved or slaughtered is to gear up now because you may not be afforded such an opportunity in the future.

the OP says: we may need to fight against a tyrant and secure our free state

I stand by my belief that a newbie taking a firearm to a fight against trained forces is a big risk.

losing one's freedom and possible life, I'll take that risk any day. But you do you and good luck.

But one without a level head is not experienced. These people, these MAGAts. No level head, they will fight with primal instinct, thus throwing out every ounce of experience they may have learned. Level head is how you aim better, hit a target more accurate. They have none of that.

The OP is talking about going out and fighting, not defending himself.
Additionally, to act like the enemy is the first step to becoming the enemy. Do we really want to be like them?

Is teaching self defense and coaching in strength training for women. We need to be strong in body and mind before we think about guns. But I would arm up, sure. All I have is a switchblade and chain whip (I worked as a bike courier and also lived in rough neighborhoods for years so that and a big sharp fork were basic kit).

When the Brownshirts come they will get me, there’s no doubt about that but I will get a few of them first. Maybe more than a few.

I make no apologies for this statement.
