we may be able to avoid too much destruction of SS and Medicare. There would be a few so-called “moderates” who would cross over to block and ornerous legislation.

6. No, there will be crossovers.

There’s Republicans in districts so close that they would lose if they gutted retirement programs. They’ve crossed over in the past for certain issues, I don’t see that it would be different this time.

12. Keep in mind that they will lie and claim that Democrats are responsible in some way

and many of their ignorant voters will believe it hook, line and sinker, just like they have believed all the rest of their lies.

5. Let them do it. It will go down in history as their doing. How can Fox or Newsmax change it.

We should not vote yea or nay to anything.

Never been done before. Let everything fall on them. Maybe the Magats will riot against them.

As long as we cast a single vote or say anything, they will hold everything against us.

They will hold "Here" and "Present" against the democrats when they fail.

9. Social Security is funded by FICA taxes. If TFG tries to cut those taxes surely congress would stop him.

Nearly the whole population would protest. He’s got 2 years before the next election. If he attempts anything with SS I can’t imagine many republicans up for reelection in 2026 would stand a chance. Dems or Independents wouldn’t hardly need to campaign. Democrats would need to just go on the news shows and tell everyone he’s gonna kill SS.

Hopefully. But you never know with right-wing and social media. I could see some people being duped into believing it's Democrats running everything if things go as badly as I expect them to go. Republicans will never take responsibility.

7. +1. Of the 70 million SS beneficiares and 67 M Medicare beneficiares, a bunch are GOPers. Don't see even GOPers

messing too much of that.

There will likely be some increase in age for full benefits and some tinkering with the Cap for people in their 40s. GOPers will likely throw in some kind of incentive to put a portion of one's SS "funds" in stock market, bonds or something for those who think they'd be millionaires if they invested their own money, rather than pay into SS.

I only hope Dems in the House can do enough to thwart their worst and most sadistic plans.
