Like so many of us, I spent yesterday in a state of shock & dismay. I was going to apply for a passport and get the hell out of here, because living in a country with this many stupid people was a horrible thought. Then I altered my consciousness 
, turned off all news, put on music and settled down. I remembered what I taught my kids in Health class...when faced with a problem, you can spend 10 minutes bouncing off the walls worrying about it, but when you stop bouncing, the problem will still be there and you have to deal with it. When you look at the numbers, he actually got 3 million fewer votes this time than in 2020, so the problem isn't with them...we have met the enemy and it is us. Why did Kamala get15 million fewer than Biden? Why did those voters stay home? Yeah, yeah, the media sucks. But I've been saying this for YEARS. Democrats need to dump the political consultants, and hire some damned SALES people, because they don't know how to sell their success. Biden is the most accomplished President in our times...that should have been trumpeted by every Democrat every time a camera was pointed in their direction. Trump's actually weaker than he was in 2020. There's no way he survives this administration, and Vance doesn't have the cult behind him like Trump does.
So here we are. I'll be damned if I'll let this bastard and his idiot followers chase me out of this country. Which brings me to the Discussion Title. For you young'uns here, if you've never seen "Casablanca", find it, watch it, and learn from it. (I've got it on now) We're ALL part of the resistance. Tyrants always fall. So will Trump. How long it takes is up to us.
