The American people, bless their little hearts, were stupid enough

to vote against their own best interests, and that's somehow the fault of the Democrats?

I have never seen so much bullshit and stupid opinions of both experts and non-experts alike who know exactly where the Democrats went wrong in this election.

Maybe they will have the same ny times writers who wrote a book on why Hillary lost write one on this election, of course leaving out the complicity of the msm’s double standard of holding Hillary, and now Harris to a much higher bar then they ever held Trump.

Assuming that we know what should be in their best interests is presumptuous. People have myriad reasons for voting the way they do, and it's rarely as simple as what we think their motivations should be.

As long as we continue to lump them all together into what we think should be a nice, neat box, we're not going to learn anything.

I wash my hands they've sealed their fate.

It is everyone for themselves today.

The media has fawned over those people for more than a decade.

We know what they are and how they think. It's never the white guy's fault. Stay tuned for them to blame it on everyone but themselves. I give it until February before they really ramp up targeting the other.

They have no intention to put in the time and effort to learn. I give no pass to low information voters. They are their own victims .

So not enough critical reading skills to understand their own interests. They need guardians like a 12 year old does. It's no surprise they have chosen Trump for their guardian.

The blame or credit for the election. They had a clear choice and this is what "they" chose.

The GOP did zero soul searching after losing in 2018, 2020 and 2022. They ran on the same shit again and again. This time people bought it. Dems should use that as the lesson. Don't sell out your values to somehow appeal to thr mostly mythical demands of voters. The American voter is what it is. Sometimes they go your way, sometimes they try to kill the country.

In 2020 and 2024 I spent 12 hours as a poll watcher in precincts full of trump supporters. Granted, they are just part of his electorate but it was mostly white and under educated. Trump celebrates them as the idiots they are and they are fine with that. For them, this is cultural.

In the NY times wrote about the Democratic elitists are to blame for our lost. Maybe we should wear diapers and garbage bags and worship our God Trump. I've been a Democrat all my life. I worked in factories like my whole family. Democrats are farmers, union workers, teachers , nurses, waiters. David Brooks of all people call us elitists. Maybe we should call women trash and punish them for having a miscarriage. I won't stoop to their level to make Mr Brooks happy.

They are focused on what is effecting them in the here and now. They couldn't care less about democracy or the fact that Trump is a criminal. They like having a bogey man (immigrants) to blame for all their problems and Trump fed that desire. He also painted successful liberals as being out of touch with the everyday person. Lastly, Trump told them what they wanted to hear and they ate it up despite Trump being a proven liar only looking out for himself.

People voted for wealthy folks whose patriarchal messaging is that they're smart enough to run a country like a business, while the "other" can't even be a proper mother.

American voters voted their values. Values are not the same as virtues.

Pundits will start looking for fault with our party, our candidate, her campaign... People who voted for the malignant mango will 'advise' of all the ways Democrats went wrong, saying WE are the cause for their idiotic vote. ( "Now look at what YOU made me do!" )

No one is responsible for the horror of this monster's win except the people who voted for him, just as in 2016.

If they are expecting prices to magically drop, and their situations in life to magically improve, they will be solely disappointed soon enough. Once they lose healthcare and other benefits, maybe then they will figure it out.
