Just a small point about Public Radio. I know a lot people are/have criticized NPR...

I can't speak to that really bc I haven’t been listening closely to their news in several yrs though I still listen to certain programs in their schedule.

Just want highlight the Latest Brian Lehrer newsletter where he speaks about the election of drumphf and acknowledges the authoritarian warnings, also mentioning his vilifications of certain groups.
The shock in ghe NYC/NJ/CON area. Some of the fears we have.Still trying to talk w Trump supporters, and listen about why they support him, who also say Democrats label you "as a hater, even though you don't think you are". Debate policy w those of good will.
Yet also: [snip]

"But reality demands that we acknowledge the extreme circumstances, unprecedented in our time.".

Another excellent show: Notes from America with Kai Wright.

I'm sure there have to be some excellent local public radio talker hosts out there in different cities who've yet to be picked up for national syndication as Brain once was.

Tell us about them! 👍

It’s the only radio station on in my house. I have to say they have really done a good job of pushback when they Interview Republican politicians.

Joe Manchin was interviewed today and started out talking 100 miles an hour about how awful the Dems were and the interviewer kept pushing back at his statements and asked follow up questions that made him sound like a charlatan. It was like I could hear him melting down over the radio, like the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz.

It was an excellent interview.
