He simulated oral sex with a microphone during a campaign speech

and millions of people voted for him to be President.

He tried to overturn an election and millions of people voted for him to be President.

He stacked the Supreme Court with people who were ready to strip women's rights and millions of people voted for him to be President.

Because the high price of eggs is what matters.

Fri Nov 8, 2024, 10:41 AM
Nov 2024

Food insecurity -- the inability or uncertainty about the ability to provide their families with nutritious meals. That's over 30 million adults.

So, yes, the price of eggs -- and the price of food generally -- matters to a lot of voters. And while prices have come down from their peak and inflation is returning to normal levels, a typical bag of groceries costs more today than it did in 2021.

And people care more about the price of groceries, than Trump's gross, unfunny behavior, even assuming they saw or heard about it.

Tribalism still exists today. Those who look like us are acceptable; those who don't look like us are rejected.

A white uncle who shows up drunk at the family Thanksgiving dinner then pukes on the turkey is better than any well-mannered, educated person of color, who is just uppity.

We can't change the electorate, we can only respond to it.

Time to craft a message and set of priorities that will work, because what we have isn't working.

We're losing ground in voter registration. We've completely lost rural voters and losing ground in the suburbs.

The only demographic we're not losing ground with are white voters, and they lean Republican already.

Time to close the fairytale book and put away our wish list, and embrace the reality that the majority America simply doesn't want what we have been selling. Time to come up with a different flavor that is more palatable for the masses.

This is the downside of a two party system. If we don't pivot so we can offer a viable alternative that voters will back, the Pubs are effectively unchecked.

who are responsible for their votes. You cannot--repeat CANNOT--change people who were raised to be racists, sexists, and xenophobes. The schools, a favorite whipping boy in liberal circles, did NOT make these people that way. Their parents did. They HAVE to learn the hard way when they are made destitute by the far right's policies, should they be enacted. Even then, I doubt they would change. They would just lash out at "the other."

I suggest people stop watching the MSM and especially the talking heads. These media people either don't know what they are talking about, or they are deliberately deflecting from the real problem.

The problem isn't with the Democratic Party. The problem clearly lies with those who voted for Trump.

If we stay the course, we will continue to hemorrhage voters. The numbers don't lie, the landscape has been moving away from us for over a decade now. Sure, acute conditions have allowed us to buck that trend some years, but the tide is still going out. Our party's share of the electorate peaked in 2008, and has been moving away from us since.

But how do you get the media to talk about it? The real reason people voted in such high numbers for him is because we are a racist nation. We knew he would get a certain number of votes, his base, but the numbers actually increased. He got a good percentage of independents (if I am correct). Go figure. With all his faults, vile rhetoric, indictments, etc. he increased the numbers. You cannot convince it was about the cost of groceries. Let’s just see if the MSM goes there with that point. Right now I am. It watching any MSNBC or CNN. I am getting it from this site and a few others. Can’t take the chance I will see his face or hear that voice.

blaming Biden for the price of gas. The Republican propaganda machine convinced millions of voters upset with inflation to stay home on election day.

If Democrats failed, it was because they were not educating people that Predatory Capitalism was jacking up prices to recover losses that happened during Trump's pandemic.

Now $6.89 at my Dollar General... (think they were $3.99 at Kroger a few years back, but I haven't checked lately).

Luckily I usually get a store brand if I want that sort of thing, but GEEZ!

However, I never believed that President Biden was involved in any way
