The American people were fucking WARNED by a general and they still voted for him

When a four star general warns you about someone, you should listen 👇

John Kelly, the Trump White House’s longest-serving chief of staff, said that he believed that Donald Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law.

He also discussed and confirmed previous reports that Mr. Trump had made admiring statements about Hitler, had expressed contempt for disabled veterans and had characterized those who died on the battlefield for the United States as “losers” and “suckers” — comments first reported in 2020 by The Atlantic.

The price of almost all groceries has gone up significantly the last two years and it absolutely kills people with a very limited budget. I’m one of those people. Of course Trump won’t do a damn thing about it and voters should know better but they don’t.

He has plans to purge the federal government. What's stopping him from doing it to the military too?

When they shut down all those US bases back in the 90s, they also kicked out a lot of people. Then W came in and privatized them.

So, it's easy enough to clear out disloyal troops. They have to swear alligance to the Constitution anyway. Might as well get them to swear a loyalty oath to the pedo Trump while they are at it.

Me and my compadres since 1789 swore allegiance to the Constitution ONLY. Period. Full stop. It's as engrained into our military ethos as much has short haircuts. I'm pretty pragmatic on most things. Too pragmatic for the tastes of some around here, but sorry, that's a Rubicon I won't cross.

First radio, then TV, now digital.

Soros is trying to take back radio, which is solid, never underestimate radio. But it seems digital is the future and should be the real battle.

It seems it doesn’t matter what you say anymore, it’s just how many times people hear it.

Political engagement to the point you have these names handy, know who they are, and heard what they said is the outlier - not the norm - in America.

Sometimes it feels like we're sending out a tornado warning on a ham radio. Sure, you might get some people, but most aren't going to hear it. Then the town gets wrecked, and it's "Why didn't anyone say anything?"

Gotta reach people where they live. And endless thanks to the canvassers out there who spent the time and knocked on the doors to try to make that happen.

Even hearing that and processing what it means takes logical, rational thought to get to decision making.

MAGA is about raw, primal, EMOTION. Logical reasoning, rational thought, critical thinking do not dwell in MAGA.

Despite these repeated and deeply concerning warnings from those previously close to Trump, Kelly’s comments did not appear on the front pages of The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, or The New York Times. Mainstream outlets have repeatedly failed to give sufficient coverage to news stories about Trump’s extremism and authoritarianism, including Milley’s recent comments.

Why would anyone not put this on their front page??

These newspapers are supposed to report significant information and one would imagine they can recognize a red alert. How many times in our history has a man like Kelly said such a thing?

The negligence is stunning, another contributor to America's decline.

Trump was just another old white guy who wanted to be president.

He was just like Biden only younger. At least that's what I got from the mainstream media two weeks before the election.

Just another old white guy.

In a way, Biden unintentionally cleared a path for the elderly to become president.

Along with multiple Admirals, and nearly his entire cabinet member from his first term. And, it's not like his 34 felony convictions were a big secret, either. Or, his constant mental lapses. Or, his threats and name-calling. Sure, a lot of them didn't listen, but most of them either don't care, or more likely, are just fine with it. And, to think I had recently deluded myself into believing I might be wrong about the majority of this country...

Those people left the administration so of course they would say negative things. A) more people left Trumps administration because he could barely hold a cabinet together B) not everyone saying negative things left. People like Bill Barr and Pence were there to the end and not exactly giving glowing endorsements. C) people leave every administration. No administration had this many people leaving and then trashing it.

Just maybe, Trump being awful is true. Maybe?

Trump has plans to take away disability pay and lower retirement pay, maybe do away with it all together. He proposed that in his last term but military veterans have a pretty robust lobby and stopped it.

He also is going to privatize the VA, along with Social Security.

All those old folks who voted for Trump are going to suddenly have a lot less money.

or the service records of the military when it comes to the nation’s leadership. Neither John McCain nor John Kerry were aided in their presidential runs because they served in Vietnam. In fact, Kerry’s service was turned against him in the most-despicable way imaginable. McCain’s service was denigrated by tRump in 2016.
