Vindman, a former Army colonel, is the twin brother of Alexander Vindman, who was an aide on the National Security Council when Donald Trump was president.

The brothers gained national attention for raising concerns about Trump’s 2019 call to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in which the former president sought an investigation of Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. That ultimately led to Trump’s impeachment.

Vindman was born in Soviet Ukraine during the Cold War and moved to New York City when he was 4 years old.

He declared victory at his election night watch party before the race was called by The Associated Press on Wednesday. “We accomplished something together that many didn’t think was possible,” he said. “Tonight we have won the election.”

After the first impechment Wonkette commisioned a set of four ceramic shot glasses, each with a pogtrait of one of the four main wirnesses, presented as an Eastern Orthodox icon. I ordered the set though I do not drink because I wanted the one with Saint Alex. And the others arer lovely also. Sorry, they sold put pretty fast. I use them for things like putting beads together for a jewelry project, or place markers together for a knitting or crochet project. I might use them for paper clips, but I haven't yet.
