"Gingrich is a redeemed sinner. He has the perfect wife. He is what he says he is."

The fact that Callistra was his mistress "makes him human." He is forgiven and he has repented. So South Carolina can vote for him but not Romney because in the past Romney has supported gay marriage.

On MSNBC....right now, comments from one of the talking heads...the guy with the glasses and the beard, if you turn it on now (they didn't show his name while he was speaking).

ON EDIT: It's "MSNBC Contributor" Jimmy Williams.

6. Funny how neither Bill or Hillary could be "redeemed" in the yes of the RW-evangelicals

Bill for his acts, and Hillary for her forgiveness of him and sticking by him. The media plays the most significant influence in all of this...then and now. Newt slams the media and the media immediately gives him all the free "forgiving" press they can from FOX all the way through to MSNBC. My mind explodes!

Newt Gingrich is, was, and always has been a truly rotten, evil scumbag to the core, and just because he's "saved" that somehow makes it OK.

9. Odd how Gingrich is "saved" in their reckoning

Typically, the more intolerant Protestant evangelicals question whether Catholics are even Christian. In some ways I'd expect the problems Romney faces with being a Mormon to play out on a smaller scale given Gingrich's conversion to what the John Hagee types are prone to referring to as the "Whore of Babylon."

for six or seven years? I suppose she's repented now, too, now that she got the guy and his Tiffany's account.
