...quite a number of DU members, myself included. I think it was, as Gabbard put it, her "opposition to counterproductive wars of regime change" that tricked me. The problem was that in all her other views, she was much more like libertarian Ron Paul. Fortunately, DU members were patient and most importantly provided proof of Gabbard's extremism. She was quite a political chameleon, changing her skin for the divergent audiences of Fox, MSNBC, et al. Only when she started appearing as an "official" (paid) guest on Fox did people really begin to question her motives.
