If this is true, it is hysterically funny to me.

Buyers remorse, eh?

My brother in Floridistan tells me he has been engaging with one of his neighbors and the guy voted for the orange gibbon. He railed about this and that. Well sir, on the Friday evening after Election Day, my brother went out to find the neighbor walking around his yard with a very depressed look on his face. He inquired and was told that, earlier in the day, his staff was called into a meeting where the were told that they were not getting their Holiday bonuses this year because the company had to stock up on as much whatever imported things they use on account of the tariff threat. He did not know this would happen. He did not know that his company would do such a thing.

Except that he did. My brother had explained all of this to him on the Sunday before Election Day when they were chatting over the fence while their dogs went to go potty. My brother told him all of this. The guy basically said that my brother was lying about how tariffs work and how that idiot was going to wreck things for most of the country thanks to tariffs that would destroy some industries entirely.

He believes my brother now... the stupid get...

with everyday that passes at what they have done, and how they were truly brainwashed.

To me, the only saving grace is that ALL OF THE MAGGots will get screwed as bad us, or worse as a thank you for their votes.

They are all gonna get kicked to the curb and run over by the Trump bus.....when he gets into office he will no longer need them to vote for him, all elections will be like they are in Russia and other Tyrannies.....The MAGGot voters will have outgrown their usefullness, and it will take awhile for them to realize that fact.

You've heard it before from me, but this is so illustrative of the disdain that tRump has for everybody else. That, after he was elected in 2016, he literally said that he did not need his voters anymore, now that he was elected. That's what he said!

We are going to be crushed, and I won't feel sorry for those that don't get their holiday bonuses because they are SO EFFING STUPID.

he was telling his Trumphumpers at every Rally to be sure to Vote for him in this election, and that they would never have to vote again.
And his cult voting followers were all too stupid, brainwashed, or ignorant to realize what he was actually saying to them......
ie: Vote for him in this election, and you will never be "allowed" to vote again....

And there were alot of educated, somewhat wealthy that stupidly believed down deep that they would be in the upper 1%
Boy, are they in for a rude awakening.......

But I can't...I WANT to see these people suffer and WANT to see them face the consequences for their hero's coming catastrophe. I am an atheist, so appealing to a higher power is not in the cards, but my desire to see them suffer and to tell them smugly "fuck you, I TOLD you so" is all encompassing...

A hint of recession, let alone an actual recession. Oil prices based politics, tariffs. A reduction in orders due the inability for Congress to pass a budget - All these things affected both the price of the components we were purchasing on Firm Fixed Price and our labor force.
The 2% to 5% of Profit overall bonuses that were normal a decade prior pretty much dried up at the slightest indication that next year might require retrenchment. The "two exit doors" at the Friday afternoon office Christmas Party, where the boss would go around to everyone and tell them which office near the building entrance to go to before they left.
It doesn't surprise me at all that long time small manufacturing businesses would be doing this starting the Friday after election day with a clear winner.
They know their Market, and they know what's coming.

I wasn’t sure the story was real, but I know yours is. So I wonder if businesses are using the looming tariffs excuse to screw over their employees. Not that I don’t believe they would prepare for tariffs - it’s the Xmas bonus part. The only way to pay for increased inventory is to cut bonuses entirely? It just seems too pat.

Anyway, I enjoyed the story and hope to read many more like it. I’m sure everyone on here is taking stock and preparing for the upcoming reality. It will affect everyone, but the ones with their heads up their asses will feel it most. At least we won’t be surprised.

It’s the common thread throughout the stories that makes me wonder. All cancelled Xmas bonuses. Not layoffs or wage freezes or other cost saving measures, just cancelled bonuses. It’s a little convenient.

Companies would fuck over their employees?
Example I saw.
The wife worked for a place that at the Christmas party had a draw a name out of a hat for things.
Every office worker ( all family) won ALL the prizes.
The last, a expensive stereo system went to the big boss.
Several months later they fired all the shop workers and hired back for less pay.
Everyone left.
Yeah, companies fuck workers.
