We've got to stop beating ourselves over the election.

Yes, it was devastating. But all the discussions about how Democrats didn't get their message out are b.s. Kamala was all over it. Day after day after day. And so was Tim Walz. She told voters about the possible release of January 6 defendants. I mean she covered so much. There was actually too much to cover.

And the end result was the voters wouldn't or couldn't absorb it all. Trump was a typhoon. But he is stoppable because he is so damned incompetent.

We will come out of this. It will be tough, but we will.

Hang in there.

Agree.

But it is okay to be hurt (and angry and anxious).

There is a lot of beauty in the world no matter the ugliness.

"I only wish Trump was as based as his enemies say he is."

(He doesn't mean that literally, but it does kind of sum up his view of things, of his wanting TFG to "drive the Establishment out." )

Scare tactics, hate, smears and exaggerations "trump" hopeful and positive messaging.

Is it "wrong" to use strawmen in a campaign? How about Putin, the founder of this shitshow?
History will show that he or his blackmail was behind it all.

For better or worse ( mostly worse), when at war, look and sound like a warrior. People see kindness as weakness, but they do the same with religion.

"Kill for Jesus" was a thing around the Vietnam war (actually, as far back as the crusades). Ppl still get everything backwards. They are carefully taught.

So it's really annoying to hear pundits and party members crapping all over her with their comfortable hindsight bias. These same people would be acting like the glory was theirs had Harris won.

How come voters did NOT know that the economy was white hot?

How come voters did NOT know that inflation was under control.

How come voters did NOT know that crime was at a multi-decade low?

As soon as Dems figure out it was the Dems fault for losing, that's when the rebuilding can start.

they didn't WANT to know. Like I wrote before, there were no "undecideds." Just people who "decided" that all the sht Trump did, said, and stands for DIDN'T MATTER.

Or didn't matter enough.

So, IMO, when Trump voters bring up the economy, it:s just a bs excuse for willful ignorance, indifference, and/or complicity.

The Democrats don't have a media machine. If voters heard that the economy was white hot over and over again (because it is) they would have changed their mind.

It's the Democratic Leadership who is responsible for getting out our message. And they failed to do that.

and those unaware. But not for theTrump cultist. I happen to know for a fact that they are willfully ignorant and resistant to any facts, that do not align with what they want to believe. They reject truths as 'fake news' substituting they their own 'alternate facts' instead. I've had lots of experience going around and around with them re such.

As I've written before, it's like talking to a fkn rock.

We've got two years until the midterms and the Dems' priority should be making Fuckface a lame duck president. Only then can we start getting the MAGA conspiracy loons out of office.
