It's a game to him. and he thinks he's won. I'm sad but sort of glad, she refused to play the game. She is still in Obama's cabinet. He can use her in another capacity as a trusted advisor. Maybe justice will ultimately be on her side, and McCain will be the victim of a witch hunt.

McCain has swerved so far right to try to mend those fences he burned with the Far Right when he was known as a more center/compromising type of guy. Sorry to break it to you John, but you'll always be a RINO-Spineless pig to the WingNuts and they will always despise you. Your legacy to the WingNuts at best will be "he was a softie that ONLY got Palin and National Security right".

I was kind of hoping he'd go Goldwater and start lashing out at the end, pulling back the curtain on Repukelican crap.

I used to have respect for him because of his past, but that has wore out. I think he will die in office now unless they can find someone to beat him.

He also nearly sank an American aircraft carrier, in an incident which did cost the lives of one hundred thirty-four sailors. You can look it up:

which requires no Senate confirmation. Rice can send a nice glossy photo to McCain to mount on his wall. That's the best "fuck you" I can think of.
