They were young impressionable teenagers who were wooed by rich and powerful men. You don't go for 18 year olds when you're in your mid 30s, it's just plain wrong. It's very similar to what Epstein did, only Epstein picked girls that were a couple years younger. And some of these girls were 17 when they started getting involved with Gaetz. Was he cruising the local malls looking for girlfriends? Imagine you're a dad and some 38 year old man in a BMW shows up at your door to pick up your 17 year old daughter, you'd meet him on the lawn with a shotgun.

So they were partying with 17 and 18 year old girls, plying them with drugs and alcohol, and then sending them hush money afterwards. That's exactly what happened and there's no excuse for it.
