Donald Trump's nominee for Attorney General Pam Bondi has held ties to the Church of Scientology at various points throughout her career.
Bondi made history in 2010 when she was elected as Florida's first female attorney general, a job she held until 2019.
During her tenure she accepted campaign contributions from Scientologists and attended multiple fundraisers organized by prominent members of the church.
A fundraiser for Bondi's reelection campaign in 2014 in Clearwater, Florida, was organized by six prominent Scientologists, the Tampa Bay Times reported at the time. Christina Johnson, Bondi's campaign spokeswoman, told the newspaper that Bondi was aware that Scientologists were staging the event.

Johnson said that Bondi first connected with Scientologists in 2010 when she and other elected officials toured some of the church's facilities in Clearwater. She added that Bondi had spoken to a group of Scientologists about human trafficking and antidrug initiatives.
Ahead of the fundraiser in 2014, Johnson said: "It's like-minded folks sharing the same goals: Protecting children against drug overdoses and human trafficking."
Bondi's office also cited the importance of speaking about the same issues before she addressed a group with ties to Scientology in 2016.

(31,353 posts)Scientology is a human trafficking, child abusing, family destroying, destructive cult.
I've been studying it intently for over a year. It should not exist.
If you want to learn more about scientology and don't want to read dozens of books and/or spend countless hours watching youtube videos, the Aftermath Series, and every movie ever made about it, the one book I would urge anyone to read is L Ron Hubbard: Messiah or Madman by Bent Corydon. It is literally so jaw dropping that for the first time in my life, when I finished the last page, I went back to the first page and read it again in its entirety.
David Miscavage will certainly be happy to be able to play around in the post democracy leadership about to take power.

A little history of the two would be partners.
Heres an article about the CBS series Strange Angels about Jack Parsons the father of Jet Propulsion Lab. I watched the series and it was interesting. I certainly knew about Aleister Crowley but had no idea about Jack Parsons and his involvement with Crowley or JPL.
L Ron Hubbard stole Parsons money and that was that. Theres more to the story of course.

She's knee deep in sex scandal cover-ups for State GOP congresscritters as well.
Odd that many of these picks seem to have something in common...

(100,133 posts)Never. And its usually hair-raising. They gravitate to money and power, and are popular in the Hollywood set.
A religion founded by a science fiction author and if the old rumor is true, founded on a bet with a pal at a bar that he, L. Ron, could make a fortune doing it.
Just what we need in the federal government.
