Do you agree with this post by Ron Filipkowski on BlueSky about Biden?

"I got to admit it, it makes me f*cking furious that MAGA is already out in front of blaming an upcoming spike in egg prices on bird flu when the Biden Admin was NEVER out in front of these things & just took punches to the face without ever seeing those punches coming."

Something to be said for that I think. That's part of the reason people thought a generally good economy was horrible.

they talked about an improving economy, they did no such shaming of TSF when he said we had the best economy in the history of the universe.

They said the Biden Admin was out of touch. Bidenomics was a joke. They said all improvements were just on paper, didn't affect peoples kitchen table pocket books. People weren't feeling it. etc.

The time for Biden and ALL Democrats to start talking about it was campaigning for 2020 and every day up until 2024.

35+ years of “rising above” is just plain outrageously bizarre.

I have to wonder why it is that the powerful folks at the top of the party continue to behave in such a way that appears so very out of touch, at least from where I sit.

But when he and Harris tried to explain how prices were coming down and we have the best post-covid economy in the world, it was "HOW DARE YOU LECTURE TO AMERICANS HOW GOOD THIS ECONOMY IS WHEN NOBODY CAN AFFORD GROCERIES ANYMORE!!!!!!111111!!!!"

So I really wish folks would make up their minds 😐

If the media didn't cover it, Biden should have gone down to the briefing room himself to force the press to cover it and then hand it over to the secretary of agriculture or whoever was the most qualified to talk about it.

And voted for Harris... There was tons of factual information out there, all people had to do was read...

Besides, a Biden presser gets maybe five minutes of coverage before the cable news channels switch over to Donnie's latest episode of fuckwittery...

They collectively shrugged their shoulders and presented a convicted criminal, rapist, fraudster who stole and openly shared classified information as a perfectly viable candidate.

This after having raked Hillary over the coals for having a private server, insisting that even an indictment would be career-ending and disqualifying for a presidential candidate.

Democrats can and have said great things, great messaging, it gets on air once maybe and then "has no legs" and the media moves on. But they jump on republicans messaging, discuss it at length, ask democrats to respond to it, no matter how ridiculous or even outright false.

The right wing is "out in front" on every issue rhetorically because they've spent decades investing in and corrupting our media.

No one democrat can counter that with any message, no matter how great. Until we have a strong, well-funded, coordinated media strategy, starting with, among other things, a very loud and consistent theme that the media has a ridiculously right-wing bias, that foxnews and others are outright propaganda, etc., then our messaging on individual issues will continue to go nowhere and always be behind the right-wing noise.

It is tru, the Biden administration didn’t shout from the rooftops, and now we know they should have, but the information was in the MSM.

I was fully aware. My MAGA neighbor was clueless.

and never answered. Inflation Reduction Act was their go to. But deficits and low interest rates from 2009 to 2022 were the deep roots. Too much money chasing too few goods, pandemic supply chain and production gaps, retailer uncertainty in rising wages. It all contributed.

I did not watch a lot of news, but I did watch some the past year and a half. I think the promotion of what they were doing, etc. for the economy and for other issues always needs to be double or triple over of what the other side does.
