Has everyone watched "The Handmaid's Tale"?

If you haven't seen it, there is no time like the present. It gives you some idea of what a "Christian Reconstructionist" America could look like. Its pretty awful. I know some people think its a show for women, but its for everyone. And it seems more relevant than ever.

The Handmaid's Tale is an American dystopian television series created by Bruce Miller, based on the 1985 novel of the same name by Canadian author Margaret Atwood. The series was ordered by the streaming service Hulu as a straight-to-series order of ten episodes, for which production began in late 2016. The plot features a dystopia following a Second American Civil War wherein a theonomic, totalitarian society subjects fertile women, called "Handmaids", to child-bearing slavery.

I saw it. It followed novel very closely while the series expanded the
premise considerably.

And the series got far more attention especially after Trump's election.
Not sure It is a good time to watch the series right now, way too anxiety
producing. There will be enough of that in real life events.

I HIGHLY recommend either or both to all. The future — is now.

I have seen bits and of pieces of it here and there. I’m not going to watch it. It’s not something I’m interested in and I don’t need it to tell me anything that I don’t already know.

Black women lived the life in the Handmaid's Tale for decades. That's the point.

At any rate, you might find the book in a library, somewhere. That's were I first read it, not long after it was published. I knew immediately that some day the premise would come to pass, and here we are.

One thing I'd like to point out is that most men were killed, if they couldn't escape. The rest were either in on it, or put to work as slaves, along with infertile, ugly or otherwise disruptive women. So, these men who seem to think there's a place for them in this new, anti-woman world? Yeah. There isn't. Sooner or later, you'll be deemed disruptive, unnecessary or otherwise removed. Can't have those not worthy wanting fertile women for themselves, now can we?

starring the actress who plays the main character and thought she was a terrible actor so I haven't watched it. How does the series compare to the book? Sometimes watching a TV or movie adaptation is very disappointing.
