To know Garland isn’t the villain in this story:

https://www.emptywheel.net/2024/11/11/how-garland-whinger-ankush-khardoris-willful-impotence-helps-trump-evade-accountability/

Warning: reading that link will cause you to eat from the tree of knowledge, and any future scapegoating of Garland will simply be MSU.

Bmaz (an actual attorney) isn't there anymore, partly because he wasn't afraid to tell Marcy when she was full of shit

He thought the COMPLAINTS were flimsy-in other words, not a sterling effort by DOJ.

He was especially critical of the GA RICO case and the NY fraud case, claiming the DA’s were trying to make a name for himself, and should never have brought charges, especially Willis.

His criticism of DOJ’s “flimsy” cases just showed what crank he was.

Despite being a lawyer, bmaz was a curmudgeon who holds a personal grudge against Marcy and Rayne for being removed as an admin for the blog,

...everyone can see the election stopped an investigation well underway and almost to trial.

But his critics want to pretend none of that existed.

They want us to believe that the investigation Garland initiated 'as far up as the evidence goes' in 2021 wasn't actually happening.

They want to convince us that the myriad appeals by all of the perps who were subpoenaed and had evidence seized as early as the fall of 2021, didn't actually happen.

They want to convince us that several successive courts, often packed with republican or Trump-appointed judges and justices didn't control the time it took to make evidence available for prosecution, that they didn't set hearing dates far in the future to accommodate obstruction by witnesses.

They want to pretend something they saw Trump do on teevee was sufficient evidence to convict him, but they won't take a minute of time to explain what evidence they mean or when it became available to prosecutors to use before the grand juries or in a courtroom.

They want us to believe that Garland brings forward charges on his will and whim, instead of the grand juries who make those recommendations for the federal justice system; a legal process that assists and enables the prosecutors to decide whether to charge, with AG Garland approving that process AFTER it's completed.

They want us to believe it would be proper for the AG of Trump's political rival in the election to make charging decisions on his own.

They want us to believe that the Justice Department should be in the business of winning elections for Democrats, even against a Defendant accused, himself, of interfering in the election.

They want us to believe that yet another conviction on election fraud would be the trick to getting enough people to vote against him; against an already convicted felon/adjudicated rapist who was twice-impeached.

They want us to believe that all of that would prevent Trump from returning to the WH, even though there is no law or anything preventing anyone charged OR convicted from running for president or being elected and assuming office, even from jail.

They want you to believe that the man who prosecuted over 1200 Trumpers on charges up to Sedition; fought through appeals on evidence and testimony from rioters to top Trump aides and attorneys, and won, and on his own volition hired the man who deepened and sped up the prosecutions to the result of TWO historic multi-felony indictments is somehow 'complicit' in what voters allowed in the election.

They think we're all idiots.

You wrote a whole lot of words to say "after years of prosecuting anonymous dipshits, all of whom will now be pardoned, the nation has exactly nothing to show for Garland's "efforts" except undeniable proof that Trump can get away with absolutely everything, because the people tasked with holding him accountable haven't done shit of any real or lasting impact."

Well, that's not quite true: we also have the cheerleaders' endless scolding as they work so tirelessly to ensure that no one dares speak ill of the man who, in the end, chalked up a zero.

But don't let me get in the way of your sycophancy. I'm sure that justice will be served any day now.
