8. Before I quit xitter

I had a some suspected bots showing up in posters feed I followed. I would copy the post and do a search. It was surprising, not surprising that I’d find several of the exact same posts made within seconds of each other by multiple accounts. It was like there was a master account or accounts that would post something that set off a cascade of repeats. Some posts were copied a hundred or more times. As to trying to somehow assume an American persona. There was one called I love the shape of Texas or something similar. It was later confirmed as a Russian account. It was a really idiotic account posting pictures of different things like pies etc. in the shape of Texas. I don’t know what all they posted other than Texas. Others who were saying some state should split off from the rest of the country. It could be red or blue states. Those were nothing but attempts to stir division.

16. Yeah, I was just saying I saw pretty much the same thing in 2022 & 2023.

I’d see a few that almost fired off at the same second. Then a cascade of them hitting every few moments. And sometimes it was trash talk, off topic, or a support.

Yes, it’s confusing to watch and I admit to scrolling back and forth many times. Confusion is the nature of misinformation and the presenter himself speaks many times about the creep of the content from his original intent. He attributes it to (I have experienced this as well) the circular structure of the post-truth environment. A snake eating it’s own tail.

The thing to keep in mind is the adage, “In a world of the blind, the one eyed are kings.”

... people believed too much of what was communicated through this new medium (airwaves) after it was made cheap for the average income person in Europe and the US.
