There’s a series on HBO/Max that is incredibly uplifting and that I highly recommend if you’re looking for a virtual hug, Somebody Somewhere. It recently won a Peabody Award and it’s 3rd season is just about to end. Every episode is like a beautiful hug. My wife and I think it’s terrific. It stars NYC cabaret singer Bridget Everett. It’s about community, dealing with grief and acceptance. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry. Not an overtly political show, but it’s political POV is clearly just under the surface.
