Why haven't the major corporations and interests had a Come to Jesus talk with Trump?

Specifically, about the predictable economic catastrophe he's about to cause with the imposition of new and significant tariffs.

If prices almost double in some cases, the products won't be purchased by consumers. Major home appliances, cars, car repairs, food, etc., etc., etc. And the tax cuts won't cover the loss of profits.

And the shareholders won't be happy at all, universally. Maybe another 1929 panic. Investors losing their life savings in the Market, their retirement.

MAGAts evicted from their rentals, losing their homes and their jobs. And no credit of which to speak.

Lower middle class, if not lower, for a lot of folks who grew up in a secure middle class home.

Here's a clip from Miracle on 34th Street. This is a risk-utility example. Take the risk and lose-lose-lose.

I just can't understand why the "captains of industry" aren't threatening Trump back.

They get to run the country.

Access to all US assets and resources.
Tax cuts, no regulations.
Help themselves to the US Treasury.

So what if the economy crashes?
They can make a killing that way too.
They are the ones absconding with medicare, SS, retirement accounts.
When no one can afford their homes, the billionaires buy houses for pennies on the dollar.

At this point people will be forced to work at lower wages.

And maybe the billionaires at this point don't need Americans to buy the crap they sell.

They have most of the US wealth tucked into their pockets.

Unfettered and unregulated capitalism will raise all boats- and all that nonsense.

7. Exactly, he has not DONE anything yet. Why people continue to freak out about 'what ifs' is beyond me.

He does not respond to facts, discussion, and compromise like normal people.

They're all playing chicken with each other, hoping someone else takes the hit. Or maybe the problem goes away or a groundswell of opposition emerges without being able to pin it on anyone in particular.

No one wants to stand up to Donnie, ever. He makes sure of that by surrounding himself with people who are incapable of it.
