Every loyal Democrat will be sold by that post. It will do nothing beyond making us feel good about ourselves.
After all, elections are not about winning, they are about being right. If the stupid people don't realize how right we are, then the hell with them. Who needs them? They're not our sort anyway.

(722 posts)Every time they didnt like something Biden or the democrats proposed they would go to the 5 th circuit and it would either be stopped or sent to the Supreme Court and we all know how that went. AIM your fire at the enemy.
We have a felon elected president, no sane person would want him driving a honey truck, why would they elect him for the highest office, JD Vance is a compromised idiot but he will do Peter thiels bidding. We know why the majority of white people voted for him and it had nothing to do with class, it had to do with anger and resentment.

(8,531 posts)I just had a personal firsthand experience with two in particular that Americans have taken from granted: increased ACA subsidies and the new SAVE student loan repayment plan (and subsequent payment deferrals as the plan is challenged in the courts).
You can rest assured that Trump and his Republicans will look to cut back on the increased ACA subsidies that Biden and the Democrats fought for and Trump and his Republicans will rescind and stop legally fighting to implement Biden's SAVE repayment plan and make all those borrowers immediately begin paying back their student loans on more expensive repayment plans.
If people thought they couldn't afford everyday items before, just wait until you have a few hundred dollars less to spend due to having to pay more for your healthcare insurance on top of spending a few hundred more each month due to having to restart paying your student loans on a pricier repayment plan.

(2,332 posts)This is so impressive, but i'm afraid if you don't sell it in an easy slogan all these important accomplishments get washed over by slick emotion grabbing MAGA sloganeering and easy sounding solutions ( like deport immigrants, close the border, stop gender affirming care for children, and drill more oil so gas is cheaper). They don't understand how complex governing, economics and environmental science are and how it all works..
I never felt the administration was good at expressing the real accomplishment they made for the American people, and had no effective answer for the Citizens United flood of cash drowning out their messaging.
Dems need to get better at listening and responding to real concerns, and better at marketing messages of real accomplishment that help them, and countering misinformation and media bias.
As far as the message of "preserving Democracy"? It looks like Americans need a first hand experience of fascism, as it seems many did not learn about it's horrors in history books.

(2,847 posts)The corporate owned McGreedia is a giant megaphone that spews Puke talking points, 24/7. There is no Liberal media, let alone a progressive one.
Hate radio owns the vast majority of AM radio stations and many people can't afford Sirius XM or other kinds of streaming or satellite radio.
No rich person or group of people has stepped up to the plate and purchased a major media outlet to help us get our message out.
Oligarchs back Agolf Twitler by giving him millions of dollars of free advertising, where they add insult to injury by letting him tell endless lies and never once challenging him on any of it.
And yet, you want to blame Democrats for not being good enough at messaging.
Republicans have crashed the economy in every election cycle that they get into power, and this has been true for the entire seven decades that I have been alive. But this fact never gets enough coverage by the McGreedia because the majority of the media is owned by very wealthy people.
How is this the democrats fault? If the problem is low information voters who lack the education to understand how economics or government works, why is this the fault of the democrats? Who can we count on to support more funding for education, more access to higher education through grants and scholarships? Right, it's democrats who do that. Which party routinely attacks funding for education and tries to divert funding to private and religious schools, taking it away from public schools? Um, yeah, it is Republicans who do that.
Yet, there are still people who want to blame Democrats for everything!
The evidence is so clear: Republicans crash the economy every time they get control, and then Democrats have to clean up the mess that they leave behind, and the McGreedia help the Republicans take credit for all the good work that the Democrats did, by never doing the actual work required for investigative reporting and never challenging the Republicans on their lies!
But, yeah, Democrats need to get better at messaging.
Think. Again.

(3,750 posts)ÉXCELLENT compilation of all the HARD and noble work done by President Biden and his administration on behalf of the people, and indeed, the world.
I've seen a number of lists, even made a few myself, but have never seen anything even remotely comprehensive as this, and I'll be saving it (and as per your ok) using it as well.
As such, it stands (imo) as a scathing INDICTMENT of America, of what we have become, that a man with such a list of accomplishments, could've EVER been in a close race with a dangerous, hate peddling psychopath such as Donald Trump.
Kudos to you and your associates for your efforts.

(OK, Montauk6 now out of character)
That list makes me want to shout "BLESS YOU JOE, WE HA'DLY KNEW YE!!!" It makes me sad and angry too; all these folks BUH-LASTING Kamala because she didn't want to talk about her differences with Biden; hell, if anything, she woulda been better off saying, "I want to keep the momentum going AND ADD MORE TO OUR COUNTRY'S RECOVERY"
Water under the bridge, I guess.
Items of interest are the bullet points on aid to Palestine. So much for all that "Genocide Joe" and "Kamala has blood on her hands" rhetoric you heard (and hear but, hmmmm, not so emphatically since the election) from folks like newly re-elected-by-a-landslide Rep. Rashida Tlaib (funny how that all-powerful AIPAC couldn't PRIMARY her let alone ramp up a viable opponent, just sayin'... but I digress) and allegedly progressive social media/Youtube voices like the Young Turks, Kyle Kulinski, Vaush, Krystal Ball, Sam Seder and Emma "Biden's legacy is genocide" Vigeland (I've unsubscribed from SO MANY channels...).
The rest only sheds light on the disingenuousness of the Bernie Bro crowd, including their idol whining about the Democrats turning their backs on the working class. Still playing that old Ralph Nader canard about CORPORATE DEMOCRATS as though we're still in the DLC era (remember that, kids???) about a QUARTER OF A CENTURY AGO!
(BTW, I hope this doesn't violate the "don't bash Democrats" rule, my intentions were anything but that. I just wanted to get that off my chest. 💙 always)

(6 posts)I love Joe Biden and would have voted for him if they would have had to roll him into the white house on a cart!! But I was so frustrated with Joe and his administration that never touted any of these achievements on a regular basis! ..The American people are brain dead in a sense that unless you keep reminding them of the same thing! (such as accomplishments that effect them) they clearly put it out of their minds and move on to the next thing! as long as it has no adverse effect on them...Joe for too long tried to play the "My friends on the other side" angle and when he finally caught on? it was too late..
If Trump had done one quarter of what Joe accomplished ? it would be on billboards, headline newspapers and all the talk shows..Joe never understood this and it cost him BIG TIME!

(613 posts)no you didn't say that but that is the implication. Look at all these good things, what more could anyone possibly want? And specifically the minorities listed in the thread title.
Or, maybe the implication is, if you're going to criticize Biden you must address every item in this list.
imo it's a totally flawed way to handle criticism of Biden.

(38,768 posts)The implication of this is that Joe is the most accomplished president on behalf of The People since FDR.
The other implication of the OP is that Joe continues to listen, take criticism, and try.
