That is every single American, from the youngest to the oldest.

That is $333 quadrillion dollars or over 4000 times the estimated amount of money in the world.

(5,198 posts)And total GDP is about $30 trillion, which is itself about 85 times more than Musks net worth. That is absolutely crazy if you think about it that one person of a country of 350 million owns more than 1% of our annual economic output.
Im fully in favour of confiscatory tax policies when it comes to the Über wealthy
see what I did there.

(18,690 posts)play money. And I suspect for most people a few million is enough because at that point you are comfortable for the rest of your life--then what to do with all this money? Philanthropy is the highest thing a person can do, but if you only spend it on yourself It's almost impossible to spend all that money unless you are just buying things to an obnoxious level--almost a level of pointlessness. How many airplanes does a person need? How many homes? Maybe it even becomes depressing, because there are too many choices and not all that much time.
He is buying influence. But for what? At his level, do you really need a tax cut? Or maybe he is trying to fill the hole left inside him from his childhood, or his horrible family dynamics, his alienation from his daughter, etc... Money can't fill those holes.
