Ive been trying to think of a way to outwardly express my disdain for the Trump voter without having to use his name.
Im going to have a tshirt and a baseball cap 🧢 made that says:
America Chose Cruelty
Congratulations
My purpose you may ask?
It will make me express my disdain and make me feel better without being confrontational with anyone.
Should I get asked what it means, I will simply respond
November fifth.

(44,738 posts)They voted for trump because it was easier to listen to him and be entertained than spending a little time researching. Its easy to hate. Its easy to be manipulated. Sadly its easy to be a trump supporter. It takes little thought and no self awareness.

(99 posts)Or was the election stolen, by voter suppression, electronic tabulator flipping, etc.?
I remain unconvinced the election was legitimate. If Kamala had been the "tough prosecutor" she claimed to be, she would have asked for a hand recount in the swing states. If a hand recount and forensic audit showed Fuckface actually won, I would accept the results as legitimate- if abhorrent.
Without that confirmation, I think that making statements about what "America chose" is a form of "obeying in advance."

(44,738 posts)Do you know? I dont. When and how will it be proven to your satisfaction that fuckface won? How much time do I have to retract my obeyance? Trump supporters are cruel and hateful regardless of who won the election. They chose to be that way regardless of who won the election. Id be grateful for an announcement to be made that somehow the results of the election will be overturned by next Tuesday. Will it take longer than that? How long? If the election gets overturned, those who voted for trump will still be cruel and hateful. Whether trump voters were in the majority or minority of the electorate they chose cruelty.

(17,081 posts)It doesn't bother them like we think it should because it implies that they have power. It's difficult to be cruel to someone if you don't have some kind of leverage over them.
Attempting to shame the shameless or make someone feel bad for exerting power that they think they now have isn't going to work.
