Judge Merchan upholds Trump's conviction, no immunity

of committing 34 felonies by falsifying business records to conceal paying Michael Cohen $130,000 to Stormy Daniel in exchange for her silence about boinking her. Judge Merchan concluded that Trump's concealment of payments to keep that information from voters was an unofficial act. So those convictions still stand.

when referring to abortion cases one may refer to the 'Rowe Court'. Basically it is a term of art.

He should be sentenced to five years, starting now. He wouldn’t allow Vance to step in, and it could be very difficult to carry out his evil plans from prison if they make it so.

I feel like we need to do something about the appeals process. I'm not a lawyer, however. But it seems like using appeals to shop for a better verdict should be discouraged. Looking from outside the process, it seems to me that this happens way too often.

In that case, the Judge has to sentence him, or put the sentencing on hold for 4 years, and only then, an appeal can be filed to contest the judgments.
