Elon Musk is showing Trump and world that he alone has control over the US Congress......

I do believe that is what is happening.
AND Trump??

Elon Musk is frantically trying to force an imminent government shutdown

https://www.palmerreport.com/analysis/elon-musk-is-frantically-trying-to-force-an-imminent-government-shutdown/59228/
Bill Palmer | 10:01 pm EST December 18, 2024

You know that tired old routine over the past two years? It’s the one where House Republicans vaguely act like they’re going to cause a government shutdown, but instead end up agreeing to a continuing resolution at the last minute each time. It allows them to give their anti-government conservative constituents something to sneer about, but it also keeps House Republicans from getting blamed for an actual government shutdown – which most Americans don’t want.

That same old routine is playing out yet again. Except this time, Elon Musk – who is not in any way a government official – is actively trying to force an imminent government shutdown. Come to think of it, the more accurate word might be “frantically” or even “manically.” Musk has posted dozens of crazed tweets today, all aimed at pressuring House Republicans into shutting down the government.

Why is Musk doing this? Well, for one thing, he’s insane. He’s also drunk on the imaginary government power that Trump has bestowed upon him. Musk now appears to believe he is the President, and the head of Congress, and the head of the Republican Party, and everything else rolled into one.
. . .

There’s no way to know what will happen as far as a shutdown. Perhaps House Republicans will blow off Musk and cave on a continuing resolution like they always do. Or maybe this time they’ll actually shut things down. But if that does happen, it would play poorly with most Americans – and it would play very poorly for Trump. His cabinet nominees are already an unpopular disaster for him. We can’t wait to see what a government shutdown would do to Trump right out of the gate. And Trump would surely end up blaming Musk.

Having Elon Musk in the picture just might be one of tRump's biggest regrets. For Musk, richer than Jeff Bezos and Zucky, whose EGO is bigger, has to be getting under tRump's skin.

The attention tRump craves and is ADDICTED to, is being foreshadowed by Elon. Musk is grabbing the headlines. Musk is nothing more than a pesky weed that is difficult to eradicate.

20. Ask the GSA and Your Elected Officials to Demand Musk be Subject to the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA
Thu Dec 19, 2024, 09:54 AM
Dec 2024

If you have a moment, consider writing to your U.S. Senators, Members of Congress, and the General Services Administration (GSA) to demand that they apply the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) to Musk and Ramaswamy's so called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and to any group providing advice to the Trump Administration. These are the email addresses for the GSA, who oversee FACA for the U.S. government (one is for the inspector general).

OIG_PublicAffairs@gsaig.gov
cms@gsa.gov

"The Scope of the FACA

The Federal Advisory Committee Act applies to “any committee, board, commission, council, conference, panel, task force, or other similar group, or any subcommittee or other subgroup thereof” established by Congress, the President, or a federal agency (or used by the President or a federal agency) “in the interest of obtaining advice or recommendations[.]” Loosely speaking: if the federal government creates or exercises direct control over an advisory body, that body is subject to the FACA. However, committees “composed wholly of fulltime, or permanent part-time, officers or employees of the Federal Government” are excluded from the statute.

The FACA imposes a variety of accountability measures on advisory committees and the agencies they advise. A detailed charter must be filed when a committee is formed, a copy of which is kept in a public database maintained by the General Services Administration. The committee must operate under the supervision of a designated federal officer, who in turn reports to a committee management officer tasked with overseeing all of an agency’s advisory committees. The agency to which a committee reports must also fulfill certain reporting requirements and maintain financial records concerning a committee’s operations.

Most importantly, an advisory committee’s proceedings and records must (with narrow exceptions) be open to the public. A committee is required to announce its meetings in the Federal Register, and members of the public must be allowed to attend those meetings and/or provide input on the committee’s work. The committee must also keep minutes of its proceedings and proactively make those minutes—along with the rest of the committee’s records—available for public review. Courts have held that the disclosure of committee records must be contemporaneous with the meetings they pertain to so that members of the public can follow the committee’s work."
