It's about time for the drone thing to fall out of the public's outrage. There probably was no there there in the first place, but we're weary of the subject now, I think.
Will the next thing be Elon Musk's pushing his way into some sort of leadership position in our federal government?
How about the apparent "School for Mass Shooters" that seems to be emerging as we discover that the Madison shooter was being coached by some asshole in California?
And then there's the imminent government shutdown caused by the lack of sense in Congress just now. Will that be it?
What say you? What will be the next thing to capture the public's outrage?

(130,532 posts)once President Musk, Vice President Trump and Groom of the Stool Vance officially assume office. This instability is bound to ripen into some kind of Black Swan event, which by definition is unpredictable. We will certainly become a big fat sitting duck for the next batch of terrorists, foreign or domestic. Whatever it is, it will be weird, stupid, and probably very dangerous - and completely avoidable if the barflies from the Mos Eisely Cantina weren't in charge.

(8,155 posts)It didn't really take. The fact that none of those people were still in prison and they were let out through a Trump admin policy kinda put a damper on it. The trolls still tried, but it was weak.
There's usually a to-do about outgoing Democratic Presidential pardons, as I'm sure there will be this year again, especially since the GOP noise machine is trying to pre-excuse Trump's imminent pardon of all January 6 related convictions. So, there will be the usual outcry about some pardon or other, probably for somebody you never heard of but will have to be very outraged about.
There's also the usual incoming GOP admin pouting session about something symbolic, like the supposed removal of the W keys from all the keyboards, or some shit like that. They'll dream up something particularly irrelevant and stupid this year too.
