Just wondering. Can anyone post a link or list of Republican legislation.....

that has had a significant positive impact on the lives of the bottom 80%?

I was trying to think of accomplishments that Republicans can claim since I've been paying attention to our national politics since the mid-70s.

Note: To be fair, I give Richard Nixon credit for creating the EPA and George W. Bush for creating the "no call" list.

I vaguely recall it had mixed support, not along party lines.

Bob dole was big on it.

Might have been more democrats than republicans in the end, but closest thing I can think of for a helpful law with at least some Republican credit.

If you want to go back past bed time, Nixon actually did a few things worth mentioning, asshole crook that he was.

Self Determination Act - Indians will tell you this was a major improvement in their lives.
Ended the draft
Founded the EPA which oversaw the passage of the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act and the Mammal Marine Protection Act.
Lowered the voting age to 18, for whatever that's worth

There was more but those are the ones that I recall and he had to do them all and we still hated the bastard.

After him, crickets.

Around the place? How much snow?

We've got dry grass at my elevation, was +52F today but windy. It's always windy.

Before 1980, I think you mean there were actually liberal Republicans that hooked up with Democrats to get important legislation passed.
