This kind of talk is from madmen

Elon Musk is at least a co-President of the United States. He has pledged $100 million to the far-right party is Great Britain headed by Nigel Farage. He tweeted his support for the opposition, neo-Nazi AfD party in Germany.

Trump has talked about annexing Canada and Mexico. He's pissed off Denmark by saying America should purchase Greenland. And now, he threatens to retake the Panama Canal from Panama.

These are among our closest allies. Trump sounds like some drunk in a bar pissing off his friends with wild, empty threats or bad jokes.

America should be embarrassed.

Trump is teasing US expansion into Panama, Greenland and Canada
...
The episode stems from another Trump provocation, this one to implement 25% tariffs on goods originating from Canada and Mexico, that is illustrative of his approach to negotiating with foreign leaders.

In many ways, the gambit delivered the intended result: leaders from both countries immediately sought an audience with Trump to reaffirm their commitment to assist the US on border issues. And it provided an early avenue for Trump to claim victory over a foreign target.

“President Trump Is Securing The Border,” his transition team wrote in a recent release, “And He Hasn’t Even Taken Office Yet.”

Emphasis added

"Teasing" and "delivered the intended result", sigh.

It sure is upsetting the targets, and the rest of the world is going WTF!, and as Rhiannon points out in #4,
He is pissing off and scaring our friends and allies. Do we think that they'll share classified information with us? ... can't trust

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/trump-s-wish-to-control-greenland-and-panama-canal-not-a-joke-this-time/ar-AA1wo7v4
Story by David E. Sanger and Lisa Friedman, 12/23/24

Over the past two days, President-elect Donald J. Trump has made clear that he has designs for American territorial expansion, declaring that the United States has both security concerns and commercial interests that can best be addressed by bringing the Panama Canal and Greenland under American control or outright ownership.

Mr. Trump’s tone has had none of the trolling jocularity that surrounded his repeated suggestions in recent weeks that Canada should become America’s “51st state,” including his social media references to the country’s beleaguered prime minister as “Governor Justin Trudeau.”

Instead, while naming a new ambassador to Denmark — which controls Greenland’s foreign and defense affairs — Mr. Trump made clear on Sunday that his first-term offer to buy the landmass could, in the coming term, become a deal the Danes cannot refuse. He appears to covet Greenland both for its strategic location at a time when the melting of Arctic ice is opening new commercial and naval competition and for its reserves of rare earth minerals needed for advanced technology.

On Saturday evening, he had accused Panama of price-gouging American ships traversing the canal, and suggested that unless that changed, he would abandon the Jimmy Carter-era treaty that returned all control of the canal zone to Panama. ."This complete ‘rip-off’ of our country will immediately stop.”..

and to keep the canal from falling into the wrong hands according to him

Then embarrassed. This sounds like the talk of someone who wants to invade those countries if they don't just give in and become part of the U.S.

The Dominant Culture owns this. We are going to be the victims so we only have to take care of our own. There will be no magical Black Women this time. Y'all need to figure it out without us.
