In a head-scratching Truth Social post that Donald Trump may have intended as a private message to Elon Musk, the president-elect says Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has asked to meet with him.

“Where are you? When are you coming to the ‘Center of the Universe,’ Mar-a-Lago,” Trump posted on his social media platform Friday morning. “Bill Gates asked to come, tonight. We miss you and x! New Year’s Eve is going to be AMAZING!!! DJT”

The message contains an apparent reference to the Tesla CEO’s son X Æ A-Xii, whom Musk usually refers to as X. Spokespeople for Trump and his transition team did not immediately respond when asked if the message was intended as a private correspondence with Musk, who’s become a fixture at Trump’s side.

Spokespeople for Gates Ventures, the tech billionaire’s private office, also did not immediately respond when asked to confirm whether he’d requested a meeting with Trump. However, a person familiar with the talks confirmed to CNN that Gates has reached out to the Trump transition team about a possible meeting.

I am, quite frankly, taken aback at how wacko these messages on this thread are: first, trump appearing pathetic and calling Mar a Lago the center of the universe? And being wacky enough to post something like this, even if it was intended for musk alone? There's also an overtone that Musk has distanced himself from trump, something that trump tries to project the opposite of. I'm wondering if he isn't even more out there than we think.

Then going down to the post by Musk himself (post 5), saying something so crudely? This is hardly befitting of anyone serving as an adviser to a supposed world leader. Is he, too, on drugs?

Ketamine has been approved by the FDA for decades. It has been shown to help treatment resistant depression when other antidepressants have failed, PTSD and chronic pain.

If you take a daily aspirin to prevent strokes, that's an off label use as well. It's unlikely that Ketamine will ever be approved to treat depression because it's now generic and quite inexpensive, therefore pharmaceutical companies aren't going to spend millions of dollars on double blind studies. However they have developed and gotten approval for a chemical cousin, esketamine (marketed as Spravato).

I have plenty of issues with Musk, but if he's using Ketamine under a doctor's care, I have no issues with it. Personally, it's been life changing for my treatment resistant depression.
