Much like Lawrence ODonnell is now. Aaron had that from the attic type set similar to early Letterman. It was the smart kids kind of thing.
I remember that Aaron got fired because he didnt leave some celebrity pro-am golf tournament to be on air during some sort of BREAKING NEWS event. The real reason, I think, was that he dared to question the reasons given for invading Iraq. Wesley Clarke was a regular guest who flat out called it - this a very bad idea.
I like Brown a lot.

Dennis Donovan
(31,059 posts)His running commentary on the morning of 9/11 from the top of the Time Warner building is seared into my memory.
As the WTC1 (the North Tower) collapsed, his gasp of "My God" still rings in my ears.
He had a wonderful show on CNN after that at 10pm weeknights.
He's definitely a journalist that will be missed.
