Young coworker and his mom are planning on attending the march in DC on the 19th.

Now Trump is calling for a rally on the 19th. Things are going to get ugly fast. I wish my friend wasn’t going. Local rally might be better idea. Your thoughts on safety for them?

I know DC will be full of MAGA whether he gets his rally or not as they will be there for the inauguration already.

We had a good experience at a DC Iraq war rally but that was a very different time.

I've been to scores of protests and rallies in Texas. My daughter came with me to the first women's march with several of her friends from vet school. One was worried about attending and I assured her she would be safe. I don't feel that way anymore. But maybe that is even more reason to march?

Stay safe.

11. Why are they going to that trump rally? Advise them to take care to not wear Dem gear.
