Now Trump is calling for a rally on the 19th. Things are going to get ugly fast. I wish my friend wasnt going. Local rally might be better idea. Your thoughts on safety for them?
I know DC will be full of MAGA whether he gets his rally or not as they will be there for the inauguration already.

(15,273 posts)We had a good experience at a DC Iraq war rally but that was a very different time.

(955 posts)I've been to scores of protests and rallies in Texas. My daughter came with me to the first women's march with several of her friends from vet school. One was worried about attending and I assured her she would be safe. I don't feel that way anymore. But maybe that is even more reason to march?
Stay safe.
