News Conference Las Vegas makes clear they do NOT have ABSOLUTE proof the body was Livelsberger

The body was burned beyond recognition so their assumptions that it was him are right now based on credit cards and a military id found in the vehicle, some identifiable tattoos on part of the body believed to be that of Livelsberger and a tracking of Livelsberger's movements from Colorado. Compelling? Yes. But he was a damned SPECIAL FORCES member. I WANT DNA EVIDENCE before anyone else tells me AGAIN that it is HIM.

The Las Vegas lead investigator has likewise STOPPED SHORT OF SAYING LIVELSBERGER is the body found in the Cybertruck.

We all need to wait on DNA, which presumedly is available despite the state of the body. If not, at least damned dental records.

I DO think it is likely that it will be confirmed to be Livelsberger--but not based on mere tracking of movements, credit card and military ID found in the truck and some compatible partial tattoos. If he were not Special Forces, I might be less skeptical, but in this case, I want to see DNA findings.

I was 16, and I know other people who at the same age already thought there was a conspiracy.

It took me freaking decades before I was willing to subscribe to any such line of thought about my own country. But this century has been very hard on my sensibilities.

As for the passports showing up the way they did —

Not every divergent thought is a ‘conspiracy theory’. That term has been thrown around far too much here recently (usually in a bullying way, IMO). And nothing is off the table as long as Trump/Musk is around. I try not to pick fights with fellow Democrats, but the constant accusations of conspiracy theories really drives me nuts, especially since it tends to shut down open discourse.

doing REALLY good work on this--particularly the ABC affiliate which to my annoyance, the national ABC network has largely (or at least earlier) IGNORED. The latter has had some really bad reporting that they have had to clean up.

No. I really don't have a working theory but the wife reported they had had an argument--presumedly over her accusal of his infidelities. Yet another reason I could at least IMAGINE someone with Special Forces training being happy to "disappear" and be considered dead as an alternative explanation. The more likely is that the body IS him and he more or less "lost it, but I definitely do not believe we can conclude that yet.

Just in the last half hour I've learned things that spin it in a whole new direction.

The symbolism of committing this act in this vehicle at this location begs so many questions.

But yes, his DNA profile is undoubtedly on file and available to them. Thank you competent military.

The real perp may have had the means to trigger the fire/explosion by remote.
They've got to do a DNA match before we know anything.

Is it true, as someone reported, that he "loved Trump" and was MAGA all the way. Because I read this as a hostile act, rich in symbolism. But it could be that I'm just misreading everything--the Tesla vehicle, the Trump hotel. Maybe that is where he felt safe, as opposed to an interpretation that he loathed these two and wanted to mock them in suicide.

records"... My point is this post, exactly.

If he was such a Trump supporter as his uncle goes on and on claiming, then what would have happened? Why do this before Trump Hotel--surely knowing it would cause damage? Why do it in a Tesla Truck--sending a message of some kind to Musk? Was he disillusioned somehow? I have a feeling that even if the family knows more about THAT (if it occurred) we won't hear. MAGAs gotta MAGA.

Sadly,

Although national tracking of veteran suicide rates is unreliable at best, the VA estimates that 22 veterans commit suicide each day. This means approximately 8,030 veterans kill themselves every year, more than 5,540 of whom are 50 or older.
