However, I'm afraid this will get spread around in some RW circles.
Supposedly Matt Livelsberger emailed this guy with info:
It had to do with all those drones and how dangerous they are
Afghanistan war cover ups
How he is being being followed because he has all these explosives in his vehicle
How he is trying to get to Mexico, but the government won't let him go
He wanted to go on Fox News
It doesn't sound like a manifesto as much as paranoia
Now: Did this guy actually receive an email from ML or this just some hoax? I've never seen this show before.
If the email is real:
It indicates that either ML is paranoid OR some shit is going down with drones and war crimes in Afghanistan and the CIA etc.
ETA: FBI says the email is likely real

(61,033 posts)Acosta and a couple of others. The video talks about the drones in Jersey as graviatic propulsion that only US and China have and which could lead to WWlll. Also the Vegas bomber may have chosen the steel Tesla because if could be programmed to drive into the portico of trump's hotel in Vegas and explode with minimal damage to send a message. The bomber was/is a highly regarded Green Beret with substantial bona fides. That is if he's still alive. Or his domestic life just fell apart as just found out his lastest child with second wife is not his. First wife left him a while ago too, could be suicide.
No connection to the New Orleans attack. It goes on and on...worth a listen for a bit.
Certainly will make you totally disregard Dana Bash, Morning Joe/Mika, and journos of their sort.

KABUL, Afghanistan At least 30 civilians were killed by American airstrikes that targeted drug labs in western Afghanistan this spring, according to a United Nations report released on Wednesday, a figure that the United States-led mission in the country quickly disputed.
The strikes, on May 5, targeted more than 60 sites in Farah Province and neighboring Nimruz Province, the United Nations report said. As of last month, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan had verified that 39 civilians were either wounded or killed in the strikes. Seventeen of those were working in the drug labs, which were primarily producing methamphetamine.
A statement from the American-led mission in Afghanistan disagreed with nearly all of the report, citing its reliance on sources with conflicted motives and the decision to call those killed in the bombings civilians instead of insurgents.
The dispute sheds light on Americas current war methods relying heavily on overhead surveillance, air support and local forces to select and attack targets and the sometimes contentious definitions by which the United States military identifies combatants on an increasingly murky battlefield.
In the case of the May 5 strikes, the United States military said in its statement that its own exhaustive and comprehensive review had determined that the labs were producing revenue for the Taliban, and that the people working in them were Taliban fighters and lawful military targets.

(2,499 posts)I dont know and neither do you. This guy with a TS/SCI clearance deliberately blew himself up trying to bring attention to this. Maybe hes crazy, but maybe hes not. I dont know why some DU members immediately insist on dismissing weird stuff. Could you have ever envisioned a crazed Russian asset being elected President not once but twice? Nothing is weirder than that.

(1,260 posts)And just about all Army officers and senior NCOs have one. IF this technology existed it would be covered by a much higher level of security.
As to dismissing things out of hand, there is this thing called physics. Anyone pushing a theory that violates physics has the burden of proving that it is true. If you cant then its just woo-woo science.

Sorry, thats mental illness or psychosis. Nobody has antigravity drive right now, the tech does not exist to affect gravity like that at all.

Or is it sheer profit--those clicks ya know...?

Do you understand that even if it contains inanities, it sheds light on what was occurring in his mind prior to the incident? That makes it interesting, IMHO.

Of course, the only way we can expect to perpetuate these meaningless wars is by destroying the lives of well-meaning people who are patriotic. Victims of the military industrial complex. ☮

(5,829 posts)Sam Shoemate goes way out on a farfetched CT limb suggesting that DNA doesn't match ML's child and ML could have placed someone else's body in the Tesla and still be alive.
Seems more likely that ML was planning suicide for several days after recent marital problems and longstanding emotional instability, and was deliberately seeking closure by reaching out to old girlfriends and sending the email alleging that both US and China have undisclosed highly advanced drone technology and China is using subs offshore to launch drones and secondly his concern about the 2019 incident with civilian casualties in Afghanistan.

(18,690 posts)IMO the probative value of the video far outweighs any qualms someone might have about the source, or the "Gee, YouTube might make money from this video" excuse (like nobody has ever posted YouTube videos before on DU).
I wish you'd change the title of your OP to something about the content, because it just seems like the current title is begging pearl-clutching nervous nellies to come up with frivolous reasons why the video should not be posted.
Thanks--I NEVER would have heard about this if someone here hadn't posted it.

It answered a few questions I had like why fireworks and no bomb and how did he shoot himself right after he pulled in and no one reported the sound of a gunshot?. Teslas do self-drive and maybe thats not who they say it is. Lots to think about including the drones and perhaps anti-aircraft missiles in the country.
