reframe the argument to one of War & Terrorism. Guns=WMD. Period. ZERO TOLERANCE.Anything on table

Once it changes to making guns part of the war on terror

then we can easily deal with ANY gun found in the street

Americans need to feel safe in the home. Our homeland is being invaded by not being able to go do anything for fear someone is going to shoot up the place.

The President has wartime powers authorized by the constitution to do anything and everything in a war

We have a war because of guns here.

Sign new laws doing so

And Make Mike Bloomberg the new Homeland Security Chief after Ms. Napolitano leaves the office as she has stated or the press has stated lately.

And put EVERYTHING on the table in dealing with it.

(And YES I mean everything.)

this is no longer about hunters, collectors, and gun enthusiasts skeet shooting.

This is 100% terrorism. Because now an 8 year old cannot even go to school safely.

ENOUGH.

Our 1st amendment rights are trumped by this all time bad reading of the 2nd.

Military and police will need them to fight the violent criminal and terrorist organizations.

I use em to fulfill my responsibility as a father in charge of the safety of his family. No one else will be there at the crucial moment.

The first amendment is protected by the second amendment. In case you can't see how that all comes together.

I hated it when 9/11 was exploited to gut my civil rights, and I'm going to be just as opposed to attempts to use this tragedy to gut more of them.

Obama cannot rule by fiat. It just doesn't work that way in the US, though clearly you wish that was different and he acted more like your favorite 1%er.

There are two effective routes to change the rules, BATF regulation and national legislation. The former will be hard since there is a number of laws in place that limit what BATF can do. The latter is the better course but it will take time and compromise.

You social stigma approach may be the most viable to achieve your goals, it will take a generation at best.
