Fetterman has been acting erratically. Reportedly, he's still recovering from his stroke. I hope he gets better, but perhaps he should consider stepping aside.

PA is moving right / going red. Voter registration shows that trend is accelerating.

My suspicion is he's posturing for long term political survival in this state.

I hope it's a calculated political strategy to keep his seat, not evidence of loss of focus or confusion. Still, the whole voting in the Senate while wearing shorts and a hoodie makes Fetterman appear more than a bit deranged. Maybe that's also part of his attempt to appeal to the state's working class MAGA voters?

Seems to me that to the party bigwigs and major donors (read: AIPAC, though not exclusively), Fetterman may be a model Senator in the Joe Manchin mode of Senatorial perfection. There are plenty of folks like Fetterman and Manchin around the country. A couple of state legislators in Florida have already defected. Others remain to sabotage legislation when Democrats win majorities. "Big Tent-ism" at its finest. Is it any wonder that most eligible voters stay home on election day?

Perhaps the question we should be asking, given Fetterman, is "what does the Democratic Party stand FOR?" You know, like specifically; enough to get you expelled for opposing. Nothing much that I can see, other than support for Israel, and perhaps that's why liberalism is in decline worldwide. The GOP torches its heathens in heretics in primaries. Ask Liz Cheney. In the last elections, the Democrats torched DSA and progressives, mostly with AIPAC help. I can only conclude that Fetterman and his kind are exactly what the Party Executive and its donors want.

as long as it doesn’t compromise residents’ “fundamental freedom

That's a huge latitude that Mump can't touch.

Here's a post from a PA who "supports Gov Shapiro but doesn't have to like everything he does'..
