Welcome to the last week of sanity in America....

…for at least the next four years, if we’re lucky.

I’m sure going to need to maintain my sanity the best I can. If it’s beyond four years, we’re screwed even worse than we already are.

We’ll be punished with toothaches. The tricks will be on the 77 million people who got conned, and the only treat the rest of us will get are seeing the people who voted for this suffering.

It's possible we never really had it, at least not as much as we needed. But yeah, the debate on whether sanity was overrated has officially ended in obsolescence as of next Monday.

I look forward to trump and his kind doing more harm to themselves with their selfishness and greed and petty jealousies. I have faith in the guard rails we have, Dems in Washington. After all we are the smart ones and they are the ones who love to be in the minority. Easier to stir the pot. They don’t know how to lead, govern or manage money. Never have. They are supported by the “Hoover” Institute, named after an earlier version of trump in the Oval Office. Ya know, tariffs. Greatest hits of 1929. I may be starry eyed, but I envision Conservatives/MAGAS begging us to win in 26 and 28 but not begging in an obvious way. It makes their existence so much easier. I suggest we stay Energized liberals.

While I am confident things can swing back our way in the next 2-4 years, how much damage will have been done before that?

Idiocy, false promises, crappy people lying about everything, doesn't last forever. Charlatans are eventually seen as charlatans.

I intend to turn off the news notifications and keep my news on a little delay, Only from sources I trust . I also have a hobby and a goal, I want to have a car restored by Trumps end of term. I will also show up to protests with a couple of rules.
Because I am getting older I will not engage with police. I will leave by dark. I might leave a leaf blower on site for others to use (blows the teargas back onto the police.) it was effective in portland.

I am limiting my intake of news. Going to find things to do to keep me busy, that bring me some joy. I can't afford to eat out or travel. Can only afford to purchase the things that are absolutely necessary. But I will find a way to keep myself in balance as best I can.

I got rid of the Nextdoor app tonight. It used to be a good way to communicate with neighbors, and surrounding neighborhoods. Now? Ever since the election, it has turned into a cesspool, just like Twitter. Had enough, deleted the account and the app. It brought me some joy! One less place to increase my blood pressure. Small measures, but it does give me a little control.

There are still a lot of things I have to do that haven’t been done yet. One set of passports and four more vaccines and a bunch of other stuff.
