has had conversations with the members regarding confirmation hearing votes. I'm hoping that I don't see one democratic vote for these totally unqualified nominees. We'll see I guess.

(6,670 posts)Are you aware of the content of these 'conversations,' or is there a basis for assuming that Democrats would endorse unqualified nominees? The tone of that post appears to suggest an expectation or forecast, which causes me to wonder whether such predictions serve any constructive purpose.

(6,670 posts)While there may be some disappointment surrounding Fetterman's performance, it would be misguided to extrapolate this to paint the entire Democratic party and its leadership negatively. Overall, the Democratic party upholds principles of integrity and typically acts judiciously and with integrity when it comes to endorsing nominees.

(29,154 posts)Goldilocks. Just the right leadership: UTOPIA.
Rule: if only one or two Democrats do something bad, it means ALL Democrats are only pretending not to be bad, must be constantly and vigorously criticized and accused of bad things they might do in the future (because of course they know exactly what's going to happen in the future, so there is no such thing as a mistake). Democrats Bad is the messaging.

(6,670 posts)Thanks very much for your more direct and forthright approach and telling it like-it-is!! I was trying to coax that realization from the other poster by encouraging them to be more specific and to cite any "knowledge" they may possess. --- I think the LACK of a response from that poster helped to reinforce that points that you were making.
The "never compromise" folks and the other assorted voters (or non-voters, actually) who demand utopia (or else!) and who will only vote for the perfect candidate (not the better candidate) are the bane of my existence and will likely be the death of us all.
