It's impossible to guess what anything will be like four years from now, but I'm going to hold out hope that all these charges will, in fact, be refiled once the "you can't prosecute a president" thing is moot. Although I would settle for Trump suffering a massive stroke at any moment and then living another 20 years. (See Kennedy, Joseph P., who lived eight years after his massive stroke.)

(3,452 posts)I acknowledge that Trump is a sexy, sexy man. 6'3" and 220 lbs of pure, grade A all American beef right there. Never worked out a day in his life either. Natty. He just glows, too. All that health just oozing from all his pores.
Of course that could be ascribed to his truly idyllic partnership with Melania. She is a woman of grace and beautiful, and so naturally warm. They are truly a standard we should all strive to meet.
But in all seriousness, maybe Ronny Jackson should hand out stronger stuff than Ambien and Provigil.
Listen, lightning strikes happen. People win the lottery. The GOP is all about owning the libs, but eventually, inevitably time will have his due. And I reserve the right to not give a flying fuck about feelings when that happens.
Thanks for making me smile.

Prosecutors could argue the statute of limitations was paused for the duration of Trumps presidency, though it remains to be seen if the courts would agree, and the 2000 memo also noted Congress could pass a rule saying the statute of limitations didnt apply when Trump was in the White Housebut given the current political divisions in Congress, that seems unlikely to pass.

The damage will already be done and most likely impossible to repair.
New York allowed this thief to go unpunished for decades.
He will never pay for his crimes.
